On September 26, bitgrit and DataGateway will jointly host a free event unveiling bitgrit’s new AI competition platform. bitgrit recently launched the platform on August 15 and already has its inaugural competition up and running.

At this unveiling event, bitgrit’s tech team—including team leader Gautam Bajaj—will run through the competition process from signups to submissions. Along the way, he will also highlight the platform’s state-of-the-art technology stack, including Docker, Hashicorp, and Redis. A core function of the platform is its ability to store petabytes of data that engineers can download, a feat made possible using cloud storage system Google Buckets.

A sneak peak of the state-of-the-art technologies utilized in bitgrit’s AI competition platform.

This platform release marks a huge milestone for bitgrit as the company comes one step closer to its goal of democratizing AI by making data more widely accessible to engineers and AI algorithms more available to companies. Data-related solutions are in higher demand than ever in today’s global economy, with many economic leaders saying that data has become a more valuable resource than oil.

However, many companies around the world still don’t have access to the data solutions they need, forming a data-related inequality gap that this platform aims to bridge. At this unveiling event, bitgrit will explain how they address this issue in part by hosting events around the world, with special focus in India.

One of the many bitgrit-sponsored events abroad: the World Data Science Forum in Gurgaon, India (2018).

This event will be held in bitgrit’s new Tokyo office, located right next to Nakameguro Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya subway line. It will be an excellent opportunity to keep up with the latest developments in the market, network with industry professionals, and learn more about how this new platform can deliver valuable AI algorithms to fit various business needs.
